Journey to the Centre of the Earth
 

You may have seen the film ‘Journey to the centre of the Earth’ or have read the book by Jules Verne in which a group of explorers and geologists go on an expedition to find the centre of the Earth.

In the story they eventually find that there is a large lake in the centre inhabited by dinosaurs. To return to the Earth’s surface, the explorers find a volcanic vent in which they are blown up to reach the volcano’s crater and so escape from the Earth’s core.
