Investigation:
In this lesson you will be producing a case study on a volcano. Your teacher will tell you which volcano you are to research. The options are:
| Mount St Helens |
Mount Pinatubo |
| Mount Vesuvius |
Monserrat |
| Mount Etna |

Your work should include:
- a map showing the location of the volcano within the country.
- an annotated map of the region locating the features of the latest eruption.
- annotated photographs of the eruption, showing the effects.
- information about the sequence of events, including the physical and human causes and the effects of the disaster (for example the warning system, the evacuation programme, the loss of possessions).

You can present your information in any way you choose - for example as a wall display, in a word document or as a ppt.
