The Normans won control of our country by battle and kept it by force. The struggle for power between the King Henry II and the Church became deadly serious. The conflict about power between King John and his nobles led to the development of Parliament.
 
 
 
 

Now you are going to find out who has the power in our country today and how they get that power. You will research and learn about the Citizenship issues of Voting and Elections, and the modern role of Parliament.

 
 
 
 
Your final task will be to write an essay entitled Power to the People.
