Elizabeth I: This is your life!

“This is your life” is a television programme that celebrates the life and achievements of the rich and famous.

Over the next few lessons you are going to undertake tasks that help you to understand the life of Queen Elizabeth I and the challenges that she faced that led her to be celebrated as one of England's strongest ever monarchs.

Each task that you complete will provide you with the knowledge and understanding of events that made Elizabeth’s life.

Your end project will be to produce your own version of “This is your life” on Elizabeth I.

You must ensure you include the following in your project:

What kind of Queen was Elizabeth I?
What religious challenges did she face?
Why did she execute Mary Queen of Scots?
Why did England and Spain fight against each other?
How did she defend the nation against the attack of the Spanish Armada?
