There are some crimes which are international in nature and therefore affect many people around the world. Two of these crimes are Drug Trafficking and Terrorism.

Your task is to CHOOSE ONE of these crimes and to produce a project on it. Use the instructions below to help.

  1. How and where the opium to make the drugs is produced.   1. Which parts of the world are the main areas affected by terrorism.
  2. How the drugs are transported to other countries.   2. What the reasons are for the terrorist activity.
  3. Why the drug trade is an example of organised crime.   3. The most common types of terrorist attacks witnessed in the world.
 

4. How countries are working to stop the drug traffickers.

   4. How countries are working to stop terrorism.
  5. What impact drugs can have on both people and the environment.   5. How these attacks have affected people and the environment.

 

Your project should be produced as a booklet with a title page which has your chosen title and your name on it. You should include some pictures/ diagrams to illustrate your work on this title page. It is up to you how you present your work but each of the 5 sections should be clearly labelled.

 

To gain the higher levels you must answer all of the 5 sections in detail

  • You should include maps, photographs which are annotated (labelled). You should refer to these in your written work.
  • You should write in detail for each of the 5 sections. (In paragraphs not just a sentence for each question).
  • You should not copy and paste sections from the Internet. All writing must be in your own words.
  • Remember to listen out for information on the news or in newspapers that might help you.
  • Your work should be neatly presented and well organised.
