When you write an essay it is a good idea to look at the markscheme first as this will tell you what your teachers are looking for when they mark it. The markscheme below is set out in National Curriculum levels.

You should aim for the level above the one you are currently on. (If you are unsure about your current NC level, look at your last set of grades or ask your teacher.) Make sure you include all the things from that column in your essay.
