Year 7 & 8 students have one 75 min lesson a week. They follow a course which is designed to cover the National Curriculum but also aims to engage and expose students to a wide variety of software. They will also be able to earn INGOT qualifications as they proceed through the key stage.

OCR

Year 9 students who have opted for ICT will follow the new OCR course, National Certificate in ICT. This is a modular course and students can gain either 1, 2, 3 or 4 GCSE grades depending upon the number of modules passed.

DiDA/CiDA

We have a number of year 10 and 11 classes attempting the new qualification called Diploma in Digital Applications. This course is not being offered again, to be replaced by the OCR course above.

Applied ICT

The Edexcel course, Applied ICT has replaced the AVCE course and is being followed by year 12 and 13 students.
