  • To describe what the ideal diet would be for you to remain healthy.
End Product
  • To analyse your own meal from yesterday and make changes to improve it so it is a BALANCED diet.
Task 3
  • In a word document with a title “ Balanced diet” Write down everything you had to eat for your evening meal last night, have a go at putting them into the different food groups. Compare your list with the person next to you, did you agree/disagree?. Are there any food groups that one of you has but the other is missing.
  • Have a play on the following website, see how much you really know about what you eat and drink:

  • Look at this website and make a mind map using the power point with the title “balanced diet” of the 7 types of food required for a balanced diet

  • Research what causes obesity and heart disease and how you can try to prevent it.
  • Write a script for a short radio advert to try to persuade people to eat a healthy diet. This can be done on the word document you have started this lesson.
  • Analyse your own eating habits.
  • Ask your teacher about the activity “Del the hospital dietician” they need some help with a patient.
