  • Play the alcohol game on the following site to see which parts of the body are affected by alcohol http://www.mindbodysoul.gov.uk/

  • Ask your teacher if you can carry out an experiment to investigate the effect of caffeine on reaction times. Gather the results from your experiment and draw conclusions. You can put your results into excel and create a graph to help with your conclusion.
  • Ask your teacher to show you the Leah Betts video.
  • Research the topic of drugs in sport and then produce a presentation on Powerpoint called ‘Drugs in Sport’
  • Some drugs are medicinal, some are recreational and some are illegal. List some drugs and put them into what you believe are the correct categories. Discuss the Difference between antibiotics, painkillers, depressants and stimulants.
  • Do you know how old you have to be before you can buy an alcoholic drink or a packet of cigarettes? Do you know the rules? Why do you think these rules are needed? Do they work?
