  • Choose a common infectious illness and research it to make a poster. This should explain to other pupils in KS3 and KS4 how the chosen illness is spread, what the symptoms are and what steps can be taken to help prevent the illness from spreading around the school

Task 7
  • Either on paper or in Paint, sketch the outline of the human body and label all the points where microbes can enter.
  • Under your drawing list all the ways the body defends against illness and entry of microbes.
  • Look at the agar plates from last lesson to see if any colonies have started to grow. Try to identify what is growing.

  • Watch a video of a sneeze and observe how microbes travel from it. How can sneezing contribute to spreading disease

The poster can be hand drawn of in publisher on the computer.
