Objectives

Know the different types of pollution and how they are contributed to

End Product

Create a poster highlighting the pollution issues that could occur in your area if farmers continued to use fertilisers, pesticides etc.

Task 2

Your teacher will give you a selection of flash cards and in groups you will need to separate them into two piles, either types of pollution which you have contributed to or pollution which has nothing to do with you.
Research the contributions farmers make to pollution, looking in particular at Eutrophication.
Compare this to the ways in which the public contribute to pollution, for example sewage.
Ask your teacher about carrying out a practical experiment to make fertiliser.
How can our drinking water be affected and what effect can this have on us?

All pieces of work must have the date and title. Don’t forget to save your work in your science folder. Remember you have this lesson to complete the task you are on.
