Objectives
  • To be able to describe in details the structure of the alimentary canal
End Product
  • Draw a life size person using rolls of paper and draw around a pupil and label the location of each organ. These can be stuck to the board and discussed.

Alimentary canal - Task 4
  • Have a go at this join it up digestion activity, test your friend and then reveal the answer. digestion_joinitup.ppt
  • Start a new word document and give it the title “Digestion”. This will be used for the next couple of lessons.
  • Have a look at the anagrams your teacher puts on the board. These are names of parts of the alimentary canal. Have a go at rearranging them and then put them in order from top of body to the bottom (no pun intended).   • Now you have all of the parts of the alimentary canal use the model to label all of the different parts. Pupils can use the anagrams to label parts of the model.
