- Go to the following website www.teenwire.com and click on ‘body diagrams’ under “do” section (green). This will allow you to click on various parts of the male and female reproductive organs to find out what they do.
- Use websites to find diagrams of internal and external diagrams of female and male reproductive organs
- Look at intercourse diagram in textbook. Can you label and explain the function of each part?
- Find the definitions of each of the following words: penis, vagina, sperm, fluid, vagina, uterus, oviducts, ovary, swim, cervix, testis, scrotal sac, prostate gland, urethra, intercourse & fertilisation. Check your understanding of these words by getting a partner to test you.
- Your teacher may show you a carton clip on ‘How pregnancy happens’ or you can go to www.teenwire.com and click on ‘How pregnancy happens’ under “do” section (green) to have a look for yourself.
- Imagine being a primary school teacher who has to teach sex education. Create a presentation to teach 10 year olds about the sex organs, intercourse and how fertilisation occurs. Be prepared to present your work at the end of the lesson.
