Friday 22 May 2026 Year 10 ‘Project Potential’ Mock Examination Information Evening This week we welcomed Year 10 families to our Mock Examination Information Evening as we begin the next stage of “Project Potential”. Families received mock examination timetables, a detailed revision booklet and valuable guidance to help students prepare confidently for the months ahead. Mr Mannering also delivered an inspiring presentation about the mock process and the importance of preparation, reminding students of our shared motto: Believe and Achieve.

Wednesday 20 May 2026 Amazing Athletes! Fifteen students from Years 9 and 10 represented the school brilliantly at this week's interschools athletics competition under the expert coaching of Miss Taylor. Students showed great determination, teamwork and sportsmanship throughout the event.

Tuesday 19 May 2026 Building Bridges at the Linking Network Students taking part in The Linking Network project with Homewood School, alongside Mrs Ribeiro, our English as an Additional Language Co-ordinator, enjoyed a fantastic morning of teamwork and creativity. Students from both schools worked together brilliantly, taking on the challenge of building a tower strong enough to hold a potato for one minute! We were incredibly impressed by the creativity, communication and problem-solving skills shown throughout the activity that, in the end, every single group received a reward for their efforts.

Friday 15 May 2026 Ravenous for Revision! Our Year 11 students have shown fantastic commitment in the lead-up to their exams, attending a wide range of revision sessions and masterclasses across the school. From “Pythagoras and Pizza” in Maths to “Chemistry Lunch” and many more subject support sessions, students have embraced every opportunity to strengthen their knowledge and build confidence. Alongside plenty of hard work, there has also been a generous supply of snacks and treats — it's safe to say that revision season has certainly worked up quite an appetite!Ravenous for Revision!

Tuesday 12 May 2026 Year 8 Rewards: Adventure Golf Glory! On Tuesday, Mrs Histon and Mr Rouse had the great pleasure of taking a group of Year 8 students on a special rewards trip to The Ridge Adventure Golf course. The students were selected in recognition of their excellent achievement, attendance and behaviour throughout the year, Over the course of 18 exciting holes, students navigated tricky water traps, celebrated impressive hole-in-ones and enjoyed plenty of laughter and friendly competition along the way. Well done Year 8!

Sunday 10 May 2026 Footballing Flair and Final Glory Leah in Year 11 and Nola in Year 10 have given us a fantastic reason to celebrate, representing Bearsted Girls U16s in the Tina Marshall Trophy Cup Final. The team delivered an outstanding performance, securing an impressive 7–0 victory.

Friday 24 April 2026 Congratulations, Enhorabuena and Felicitations! We have been truly blown away this week by the outstanding efforts of our Year 11 linguists. Students of French and Spanish have now completed their GCSE Speaking examinations, demonstrating impressive confidence, skill, and determination. Their hard work, dedication, and resilience have clearly paid off, with students rising to the challenge and showcasing everything they have learned.
