NLL Young Farmers Success at South of England Show

New Line Learning Young Farmers were at it again during this Years South of England Show, pulling together a number of successes in the Young Farmers Club Classes.

Our sheep handlers were on top form as Matilda Parkes (13) placed 1st whilst handling Dehlia and Chloe Godden (12) placing 2nd with Dinky, beating 13 competitors. Handlers were judged on presentation of themselves, presentation of their lambs, diary and knowledge.

Our young farmers were just as successful during the Cattle Class as Natasha Sullivan (13) took 1st place whilst in charge of Olly, Ruby Sumner (14) came 2nd with Olea. Again, our farmers were tested on their knowledge and handling of the cattle. Ruby and Natasha then paired up with their calves to win the cattle pairs event.

Farm manager Hayley Dent said “The South of England show is always enjoyed by us all, it is a good practice run for the Kent show that is coming up in the next few weeks. As you can see from our results we had a truly fantastic show and the team is really buzzing for the rest of the Summer shows”.

Our young farmers are very much looking forward to the remaining summer shows.
