Getting to know local residents

Community Director at NLL Academies, Richard Jenkins, met with local residents at Mangravet today (14 December).

He joined police officers and representatives of Maidstone Borough Council at Mangravet parade of shops to speak to members of the community about issues affecting them and how the Federation could work more closely with residents to find solutions to their problems.

Richard has been in his role since September this year and is working closely with a variety of organisations including Maidstone Borough Council, KCC, SILK, community groups, housing trusts, education professionals and local/secondary schools.

Through the Federation, Richard's aim is to improve community links and work together with outside agencies to find new ways to improve the life chances of young people in the town both academically and socially.
