Pensioners enjoy Christmas party at NLL
New Line Learning Academy held its annual OAPs Christmas party, hosted by students and staff, on Tuesday 15 December in the church hall on site.
Entertainment included carols by the school choir, dancing, bingo, raffle, classic songs sung by a professional entertainer and refreshments.
The pensioners also enjoyed a traditional three course Christmas lunch in the school canteen prepared by catering staff and served by Year 9 food technology students.
Around 100 local pensioners enjoyed the party which is in its 40th year. As the elderly left to catch transport home they were given Christmas presents and met the academy's farm animals including goats and calves.
