Maidstone’s first rebuilt academy is to open its doors in 2010 and will provide pupils with an outstanding education, facilities and resources.
New Line Learning Academy at Boughton Lane in Loose, Maidstone, will offer an enhanced 21st century curriculum to its 1050 students aged 11 – 18. In addition, social and emotional skills will be taught, so youngsters can form better and lasting relationships at work and in their personal lives, securing them a brighter future.
With specialism in business, enterprise and vocational studies, NLL Academy has produced 100% success in vocational courses such as childcare, business studies and travel and tourism. In addition, strong links have been established with companies as diverse as Microsoft, Chelsea Football Club and Thomson Holidays. Extensive contacts have been built up across the world too, in countries such as China, Sweden, Germany and America.
NLL Academy is at the cutting edge of education industry advancements and is an extremely caring school where every youngster matters. Teaching staff are highly skilled, motivated and compassionate and a mentoring model is being pioneered with Yale University to assist students in improving their social and emotional skills.
Students enjoy every aspect of school life at NLL Academy and there is a huge range of extra curricular activities in operation from football, netball, dance, art, XBox, cadets and homework clubs. There is also a thriving school farm which youngsters have access to before and after lessons.
