Dear Parents/Carers
We are writing to inform you of an exciting new development in our academies and to take forward the increasing demand for parent involvement in the strategy and planning for their children’s education.
These Parent Forums have been increasingly popular across the country, and indeed the world, as a place for parents to be heard and to discuss issues and concerns, while developing positive ways forward. These forums work closely with the heads of schools as well as the governing bodies with the goal of improving your child’s education through better communication and discussion. The Heads of our Academies and the Governing Body have given their full support.
There has been an initial meeting, but we want to invite you all to have the opportunity to come along and hear more about the forum, how it may look, what benefits it will bring to you and your Academy and to allow you all to ask questions. The intention is to provide two opportunities for you to come along and learn more, and see how you might like to be involved.
Thursday 6th March 2008, starting at 7pm at Boughton Lane Site
Tuesday 18th March 2008, starting at 8pm in Costa Coffee, Cornwallis Academy.
We very much look forward to meeting you on one of these dates and telling you about the plans, thoughts and idea for the coming years. Remember this is your forum.
