The South Maidstone Federation is currently consulting on the closure of The South Maidstone Federation of Schools (The Cornwallis, Oldborough Manor and Senacre Technology College) and replacing them with two Academy schools with effect from 1st September 2007. One Academy would open on the existing site of the Cornwallis and one would open on the Oldborough Manor site. Any offer of employment will not be affected by this, but the employer will be different if the proposals go ahead.
We require fully qualified, enthusiastic and innovative teaching and non-teaching staff to join our already established teams in the following locations and subject areas:

Required for September 2008 an innovative teacher to join our Science Department to teach KS3 & 4 and across the ability range. A strong commitment to raising student attainment is required. This post would be suitable for NQT's or more experienced teachers. Commencing salary on the Main Pay Scale will be commensurate with skills and experience.

The successful candidate will be part of a thriving team who are committed to giving young people the excellent Science education they deserve. Candidates who are successful on the Graduate Teacher Programme will achieve Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with Canterbury Christ Church University, whilst teaching and training within our school. Applicants must possess a relevant Degree and minimum grade C in GCSE Mathematics, English and Science. We have recently acquired Academy status and will be moving into a state-of-the-art brand new facility by 2010.
