School Of Excellence Theatre Trip: Here We Go Again!
This week marked the second consecutive week of outstanding enrichment opportunities for our School of Excellence students. Following last week’s inspiring trip, it was the turn of our Year 10 Drama students to visit the Churchill Theatre to watch Blood Brothers — the play they are currently studying and will be performing themselves in April.
Seeing the production brought the text to life, allowing students to deepen their understanding of character, movement and storytelling. Dylan D shared, “I felt immersed in the story – the acting was incredible,” while Abi B was inspired by the physicality of the performance, saying, “The movement was incredible; it has given me some great ideas.”
The impact of the trip was clear, with students already reflecting on how it will influence their own work. Daren commented, “I feel this has benefited my upcoming performance and I feel inspired.”
Experiences like these continue to enrich learning beyond the classroom, motivating students and strengthening their preparation for upcoming performances.
