Important Information - Friday 20th March 2020

Important information regarding student attendance – from Monday 23 March 2020

Thank you for the very supportive approach that you have taken during these exceptionally challenging times.  New Line Learning Academy will remain at the heart of our community.

Special opening from Monday 23 March for the children of key workers and those entitled to specialist support

Key workers

At midnight, the government published a list of those parent / carers who are entitled to send their child to school.  The link below provides specific details.

It is critical to note, however, that this provision should only be taken up if there are no other alternatives.  In the best interests of your child and staff, we wish to minimise any risks and the number of students attending should, therefore, only be in circumstances where it is essential.

Should you wish to take up this provision, please contact us urgently at or by completing the survey found on the following link.

Key Worker Survey

Please note too that this provision should not be used as a ‘drop-in service’.  We will always be flexible and supportive but I am sure you will appreciate that we need to manage provision very carefully.

We will be asking your child to bring in formal identification of your key worker role.  This could be in the form of a photocopy of your current ID badge or similar.

Free Schools Meals

For all pupils entitled to free school meals, weekly food hampers will be available for collection every Monday, starting Monday 23 March, between 11am and 1pm.  Please can you bring your own carrier bags.  If you are unable to collect your hamper, please can you contact so that we can make appropriate arrangements to get your hamper to you.

Yours sincerely,
