Aldi Design a Bag Competition

New Line Learning Academy is the latest winner of Aldi’s 'Get Set to Eat Fresh' Design a Bag Competition weekly prize draw.

Congratulations go to Tegan Lewis in Year 8, whom was selected by Aldi for her creative design in one of their weekly prize draws and has won £50 worth of Aldi vouchers for the school. The vouchers will be spent wisely, stocking up on fresh fruit and vegetables, and possibly extra essential pieces of kitchen equipment for the Catering Suite.

Years 7-9 Food & Cookery students were encouraged to design a reusable bag that would inspire people to eat fresh fruit and vegetables. Entries were sent through to Aldi; a judging panel will select one overall prize winner from England & Wales, as well as one overall winner from Scotland.

Great prizes are up for grabs, with the winning student receiving £50 in Aldi vouchers, a certificate, and two bags featuring their design. The winning entries will see bags on sale in Aldi stores with their design.

The winner and their schools will receive £200 in Aldi vouchers and a bag of fresh produce. The winner and their school will be required to participate in the launch of their bag at an Aldi store together with a Team GB athlete, who will also visit the school.

Mrs Thomas, Lead Practitioner for Food & Cookery, often says "If you are not in it how can you win it!".

Let’s hope that Tegan Lewis or one of our other artistic designers comes up trumps.

Good luck to you all.

The competition is open to primary and secondary school students aged between 5-14. Closing date is 4th May 2018 at 17:00. For further details, go to:
