Key Stage 3 Disco
Have you ever seen Santa floss? Well, if you attended our Key Stage 3 Christmas Disco you would have been able to see Santa’s magical moves for yourself.
This was New Line Learning’s first ever Key Stage 3 Disco and it was a massive success!
Around 100 pupils marched into the heartspace where they threw down their greatest dance moves in front of DJ Stringer who kept the party going with music both staff and students could dance to. Brian Stringer is a professional DJ in his spare time, so he was no stranger when it came to building up a party atmosphere.
It wouldn't be a disco without a bit of competition would it! DJ stringer called upon KS3 to show staff their best dance moves; our dancing queen was Ellie-May Lidiard who impressed judges with he energy on the dance floor. Wesley Mileham was crowned KS3 dancing king with his spectacular dance moves and rhythm.
When Santa wasn’t on the dance floor cutting shapes, he was having his picture taken with pupils in his brand new sleigh built and painted for him by our very own D.T and Art departments.
It was clear pupils were having a great time dancing to their favourite songs and enjoying the party food on offer.
We must give a special thanks to Laura Pethersand Julia Duffy for organising this brilliant event.
With the evening being a fantastic success, it’s safe to say there will be more school discos in the future.
