Welcome to New Line Learning Academy

A message from Mr Cook

It is with great excitement and a deep sense of responsibility that I write to introduce myself as the Headteacher at New Line Learning. I am truly honoured to be part of this exceptional school community, and I look forward to working with you to continue fostering a nurturing, engaging, and innovative educational environment for all of our students.

Having worked in education for over 20 years before joining New Line Learning Academy last year, I am eager to share my experiences and continue the relentless ambition of New Line Learning in helping our students achieve their individual goals and ambitions. I feel very fortunate to work within education, and believe passionately in honesty, integrity and hard work. I believe these values will help us on the next stage of our journey of ensuring all our students receive an exceptional school experience. As a passionate educator, I believe in the power of collaboration between school and home. My primary goal is to ensure that every child not only thrives academically but also grows socially and emotionally in an atmosphere where they feel supported, valued, and inspired to reach their full potential.

Choosing the right school for your child is an important decision and at New Line Learning, our dedicated staff are determined that your child will achieve their full potential. We will instil in our pupils the confidence that they can achieve their ambitions through hard work, good attendance, and self-belief. This is reflected in our school ethos: Believe and Achieve.

Yes, we have a range of transition events from March all the way through to our Summer School in August. You can check out our transition calendar at the bottom of this page!

As part of our transition programme there will be...

A fun and exciting Saturday transition day for you to meet your peers, some staff and familiarise yourself with the school.

Key staff will visit your primary school to meet you and your current teachers. This will give you an opportunity for you to ask any questions your have a little later down the line.

There will be an information evening where you will meet your form groups and tutors as well as your Head of Year. Your families will hear from Mr Cook, Headteacher and Mrs Vincent, Transition Lead giving them all the necessary information for your start in September.

The whole school has break at 11:00-11:25 am but we have a staggered lunch so only a couple of year groups are on lunch together.

The wellbeing of our students is paramount at New Line Learning Academy.

Students meet their form tutor on a daily basis to receive support and guidance.

We also have a dedicated team of staff who look after the students’ academic and pastoral needs. Furthermore, students are encouraged to adopt a healthy lifestyle through a range of physical and social activities, and this positive outlook is promoted throughout the school. Our key aim is to promote positive working relationships and personal responsibility, as well as leadership opportunities.

We are delighted to have a house system, which has provided students with unique opportunities to develop their leadership skills, as well as encouraging students to make positive contributions within their community groups.
