Design Technology & Food Curriculum
The Design Technology and Food curriculum at New Line Learning Academy inspires creativity, innovation and practical problem-solving through a broad and ambitious programme of study. Students develop practical, technical and design skills across resistant materials, graphics, fashion and textiles, and food and cookery while learning to create products that meet real-world needs.
Using the design process, students research, design, make and evaluate their work, developing resilience, independence and critical thinking alongside practical expertise. At Key Stage 4, students can continue their learning through NCFE Level 1/2 qualifications in Design and Production or Food and Cookery.
