Head Students
Nurturing effective student leaders is an important element to New Line learning Academy’s commitment to the personal development of our pupils. Pupils are encouraged to develop the necessary skills to enable them to take responsibility for their school and to then contribute positively both to the school and wider community.
To this end and to build upon the success of our current Form Captains and Vice Captains, this year we have appointed two Head Students and three Senior Prefects from our Year 11 cohort.
Their main responsibilities are:

To organise and plan regular meetings with the Student Council and ensure that decisions are carried out.

To represent and speak for all students in New Line Learning Academy and support and prepare activities that encourage and support the learning of others.

To be internal and external ambassadors for the school and to act as role models for all students at New Line Learning Academy.

To give key presentations about the school, for example to prospective students and their families at school events.
- To greet important visitors to New Line Learning Academy.
- To be involved in assemblies.

To meet regularly with the Head of Year 11 and the Assistant Headteacher responsible for Student Leadership
