Rewards
At New Line Learning Academy, we believe that recognising and celebrating positive behaviours and accomplishments is key to creating a supportive and motivating learning environment. Rewards play an important role in encouraging students to make good choices, engage actively in their learning, and contribute positively to our school community and the wider world. By acknowledging effort, improvement, kindness, and achievement, we help students feel valued and inspired to continue growing both academically and personally. Our rewards system is designed to reinforce the values we share as a school, and to help every student feel proud of their progress and contributions.
Turning values into actions
Our school values are at the core of our rewards structure at New Line Learning. Students are rewarded for demonstrating integrity, equality, collaboration, respect, resilience and strong work ethic both in their lessons and around the school. The following rewards recognise the many ways in which our students turn these values into action.
| Rewards | How students qualify | What are students issued? | When is the reward issued? |
| 'Believe and Achieve' Student of the Week | Awarded to KS3 and KS4 students selected by their Head of Year | Certificate and voucher for a free cake/cookie from the canteen | Weekly in the Student Bulletin |
| Head of School Award | Awarded to students nominated by a member of staff for exemplary conduct, achievement or contribution in or outside of school | Certificate and £5 voucher | Weekly Head of School Awards ceremony |

Recognising the importance of independence
In order to become effective life-long learners, we know that students need to develop successful habits of independent learning and self-determination. To that end, the following rewards recognise effort and attainment in the context of home learning and revision.

Attendance matters
The research is clear: attendance has a direct impact on attainment and wellbeing. At New Line Learning we encourage our students to rise to the challenge of having the best possible attendance because we know that it will open the door to long-term success.
| Attendance points | Students can earn 3 achievement points for every week in which they have 95% attendance, and 5 achievement points for a week of 100% attendance | ||
| Attendance | All pupils who maintain a 20-day full streak of attendance during our specified weeks will receive a prize at break time. | ||
| Attendance | All pupils who achieve 95% attendance in a term will be entered into our prize draw, with choices of AirPods, vouchers and smart watches up for grabs. This resets each term. | ||
