Inspiring Futures At Oxford University
Thirty-two students recently enjoyed an exciting and inspiring outreach visit to St Hugh’s College, Oxford, accompanied by Mrs Chapman and Mrs Evans. The day offered a fantastic opportunity to experience life at one of the world’s most prestigious universities and to learn more about the possibilities that higher education can offer.
Students were welcomed by the college and taken on a guided tour of the beautiful grounds and historic buildings. They also had the chance to speak with current Oxford students, asking questions about their courses, daily life, and the journey that led them to study at Oxford.
A particularly valuable part of the visit was an informative session on Oxbridge applications and university life. Students learned about the application process, what universities look for, and how they can begin preparing now for their future ambitions.
Many students left feeling inspired. One student said, “Talking to the Oxford students made it feel possible for someone like me.” Another added, “The visit really motivated me to work hard and aim for university.”
