• Sunday 10 May 2026 Community Spirit in Action Year 10 student Oscar is making a meaningful impact beyond the classroom through his volunteering at The Retreat Animal Sanctuary.
• Sunday 10 May 2026 Footballing Flair and Final Glory Leah in Year 11 and Nola in Year 10 have given us a fantastic reason to celebrate, representing Bearsted Girls U16s in the Tina Marshall Trophy Cup Final. The team delivered an outstanding performance, securing an impressive 7–0 victory.
• Friday 24 April 2026 Congratulations, Enhorabuena and Felicitations! We have been truly blown away this week by the outstanding efforts of our Year 11 linguists. Students of French and Spanish have now completed their GCSE Speaking examinations, demonstrating impressive confidence, skill, and determination. Their hard work, dedication, and resilience have clearly paid off, with students rising to the challenge and showcasing everything they have learned.

• Thursday 5 March 2026 World Book Day: A Celebration Of Reading World Book Day was celebrated in style this year, with every subject across the school delivering bespoke lessons inspired by literature from around the world. The day highlighted how books can enrich learning in every area of the curriculum and encouraged students to explore new stories, ideas and perspectives.
• Thursday 5 March 2026 Inspiring Futures At Oxford University Thirty-two students recently enjoyed an exciting and inspiring outreach visit to St Hugh's College, Oxford, accompanied by Mrs Chapman and Mrs Evans. The day offered a fantastic opportunity to experience life at one of the world's most prestigious universities and to learn more about the possibilities that higher education can offer.

This week's Year 10 Consultation Evening was a resounding success, bringing together students, parents, and teachers for an insightful and productive evening. Families had the opportunity to meet with subject teachers, discuss progress, and explore strategies for continued success as students navigate this pivotal stage of their education.
• Wednesday 4 March 2026 Year 7 Girls Take To The Pitch The Year 7 football team recently took part in a tournament, marking the first time the players had ever played together as a team.

• Friday 23 January 2026 Year 9 Options and Consultation Evening Our Year 9 Options and Consultation Evening was a highly successful and informative event, welcoming families into school to support an important stage of their child's education. Throughout the evening, parents and carers met with core subject teachers to discuss progress and attainment in English, Maths and Science, gaining valuable insight into strengths, next steps and strategies for continued success.
• Thursday 22 January 2026 Light Up Maidstone Workshop New Line Learning Academy is thrilled to be partnering with Light Up Maidstone this year and will be proudly taking part in the lantern parade on Friday 6th January. In preparation for this exciting community event, thirty of our Year 9 students had the unique opportunity to work with two local artists on Monday 19th and Tuesday 20th January.
• Tuesday 20 January 2026 Blue Monday On Blue Monday, students showed fantastic generosity and compassion by taking part in a non-uniform day to support Young Minds. By wearing blue and donating, our school community raised almost £250 for this important mental health charity.
• Thursday 15 January 2026 A Show To Remember: Year 11 Take Centre Stage On Wednesday, we were treated to an outstanding showcase of talent as our Year 11 Dance and Drama students performed their examination pieces.
• Thursday 15 January 2026 School Of Excellence Theatre Trip: Here We Go Again! This week marked the second consecutive week of outstanding enrichment opportunities for our School of Excellence students. Following last week's inspiring trip, it was the turn of our Year 10 Drama students to visit the Churchill Theatre to watch Blood Brothers — the play they are currently studying and will be performing themselves in April.
• Thursday 15 January 2026 Cross Country Success for Year 7 We are incredibly proud of Scott and Chloe Humm, who recently represented Maidstone in the Kent District Cross Country event at Dartford. After progressing from the inter-school race at Mote Park, both delivered outstanding performances against strong competition.

Thanks to the generosity and enthusiasm of students, staff and families, we have already raised just over £1,040 through a variety of fundraising events.

From challenging themselves on Jacob's Ladder to testing their aim with archery, and from dancing the night away at the silent disco to taking the plunge on the Big Swing, there was something for everyone.
